Medicare
A GP referral is not required to see a psychologist. You are welcome to book an appointment directly without one.
If you have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for your psychology sessions.
With a valid Mental Health Care Plan, Medicare provides a rebate of $101.55 per session when you see a Psychologist.
If you are registered for online Medicare claiming, we can process the rebate on your behalf at the time of your appointment. This means your rebate is usually returned to your nominated bank account within 1 business day.
Please note that rebates are subject to Medicare eligibility and annual limits, and sessions are charged at the full fee on the day of your appointment. We do not bulk bill.
NDIS
We support participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
NDIS participants are charged in line with the current NDIS price guides.
Our services are available to clients who are:
Self-managed
Plan-managed
If you are self-managed or plan-managed, you can access our services and claim through your NDIS plan in line with your approved funding categories.
How It Works
Self-managed participants
You pay for services directly.
We provide an invoice for you to submit through the NDIS portal for reimbursement.
Plan-managed participants
We issue invoices directly to your plan manager.
Your plan manager processes payment on your behalf.
Private Health Insurance
You may be able to claim some rebate for psychology sessions from your private health insurer. You will have to check your extras cover. We cannot process the claim with your private health insurer. Most health insurers do not allow you to claim both Medicare and health insurance for the same invoice.
