Vibeke Hansen
Provisional Psychologist
Vibeke has a deep commitment to making quality mental health support accessible wherever you are. Having spent many years in tertiary education, health research, occupational rehabilitation, and health and wellbeing coaching, Vibeke understands the complex ways that work, study, relationships, and health can shape our inner world and sense of wellbeing and how hard it can be to ask for help when life is already full. She has worked with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment difficulties, and life transitions across a wide range of contexts, and brings both evidence based rigour and genuine warmth to her practice.
Vibeke lives and works on the NSW mid-north coast, and the reality of rural life - its gifts and its gaps - has shaped her values as a psychologist. Her virtual clinic room is a relaxed one (please bring a cuppa to the session) where those taking their first steps into online mental health support will be met with a compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy.
She works with both young people and adults across a range of presentations, tailoring her approach to the needs and preference of each person, and drawing on Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based interventions, and Motivational Interviewing.
