Marian Macdonald

Provisional Psychologist

Marian works with children, adolescents and adults, taking time to understand each person’s experiences, strengths and goals. Her approach is warm, collaborative and practical, with support shaped around what matters to the person and their circumstances.

Marian supports people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, including suicide bereavement, and life transitions. She has an interest in neurodiversity-affirming practice and works with autistic people and people with ADHD. Her work with families may involve parents, children or both, depending on their needs.

Marian is also interested in providing cognitive and learning assessments to help identify strengths, understand difficulties and guide useful supports. Living on a farm in Gippsland, she understands some of the pressures that can come with rural life, particularly when family, work and livelihood are closely connected.

Marian has completed a Master of Professional Psychology and works under professional supervision as a provisional psychologist. She offers appointments at The Mindful Hub’s Sale clinic and some ad hoc off-site consulting.
